This Is How We Do It
We’re a local charity helping all children and young people grow and learn together. Our goal? To build a happy community that celebrates inclusion, diversity, & belonging. We break down barriers and create activities and spaces where everyone—no matter their abilities—can connect, thrive, and grow.
What We Offer
At Pathfinders Cymru, we provide a wide range of activities that inspire, educate, and bring people together—all while offering volunteering opportunities at every step. As a registered AQA centre, we proudly use the AQA Unit Award Scheme to formally recognise and celebrate the skills that volunteers develop and demonstrate. Plus, through the Tempo Time Credits scheme, we reward our volunteers with access to free activities and outings as a thank you for being the amazing community superheroes that they are.
Here’s a glimpse of what we offer:

Community Library
Our Community Library is open to everyone and managed by volunteers with learning disabilities and/or neurodiversity. People of all ages can come to explore, read, and connect. Supported by Neath Port Talbot Library Service through the UK Government's Levelling Up Fund, we have access to their full book catalogue and library IT system.
In addition, our Resource Lending Service (funded by the National Lottery Community Fund) provides a unique collection of books focused on helping children and young people of all abilities become fluent readers, along with adaptive tools that support both education and life skills.
We're also continuing to develop our exciting Digital Tech Hub, offering access to cutting-edge technology like 3D printers, Virtual Reality headsets, and more, giving the community the chance to develop essential tech skills.

Workshops, Play and More
Our Inclusive Friendship & Play Sessions bring young people together through fun, ability-focused activities. From Lego Big Builds and Dungeons & Dragons for teens to inclusive play sessions for primary-level children, we create spaces where everyone can feel supported, regardless of age or ability. We also offer a wide range of Skill-Building Workshops, including our popular STEM blocks where participants engage in hands-on activities like 3D printing, coding, and building projects. Additionally, we collaborate with third-party experts—such as local authors and creatives—to offer unique learning experiences that inspire and engage young minds.
