Hello! My name is Martin and I’ve been asked to help with the garden at Ystalyfera
Community Centre in 2025.
I’ve been a gardener for many years and can’t wait to make a start. We’ve got a
great plot of land and I’m keen to help make it the best sensory garden in
Ystalyfera(!) To do this, I hope to encourage as many children to get involved as
possible – it is their garden after all. To help this, we plan to hold a monthly Saturday
Gardening Club at the Centre for all those who would like to take part whatever their
knowledge or ability , or just fancy getting their hands dirty.
I’d also like to record our progress on this blog, and would welcome help from
anyone who would like to help with pictures, photos or writing.
I look forward to meeting you when the weather starts to warm. More details will
appear on this site nearer the time. Meanwhile, if you have any ideas or suggestions
about what you would like to see in the garden, I’d love to hear them.
