Parenting Support
As part of building a more inclusive community, we recognise that not only do we need to support the children and young people, but in order to be effective, we need to also support everyone around them.
Drawing on our own experiences as educators and parents of children with a wide variety of complex learning disabilities, we aim to develop dedicated sessions to support parents and caregivers in nurturing the growth and development of children.
Our mission is to provide a nurturing and supportive community where parents can find the resources and guidance they need, connect with other people with similar shared experiences/difficulties and reduce isolation. We also aim to identify common/reoccurring difficulties so that as a community we can connect and empower our voices together to more effectively advocate for meaningful change and improve outcomes for the lives of our children and young people we support.
We believe that every family deserves access to the resources and tools necessary to raise happy and healthy children.
Join us on the 1st Monday of each month (excluding bank holidays and school holidays) at Ystalyfera Library and be part of a supportive community where every family can thrive and grow.
These sessions have been made possible with funding from the amazing Pobl Trust. Thank you for supporting us.
